Samsung posts $8.3bn profit despite fears of slow Galaxy S4 sales

Samsung has reported a lower than estimated profit of $8.3bn for the second quarter. Samsung's rise to the top of the smartphone market has helped it announce bumper financials in the past couple of years. However much like rival Apple, it is now finding it harder to please financial analysts and its $8.3bn second quarter profit is below Wall Street estimates. Samsung said it expected sales to be in the region of $45bn for the second quarter, which would be roughly a 40 percent jump from the same period a year ago.
